About Us

I Redcurrant Glass was established in 2001 by Karen Redmayne with the support of the Princes Trust. We are based in the heart of Pendle, Lancashire. All  our products are handmade,  everything is made in our studio housed in Higherford Mill which hosts over 20 artist studios. Built in 1824 Higherford mill has the oldest remaining North light weaving shed in the world. ​ 

Products and designs are influenced by the colour's and forms in nature. As every piece is handmade colour's and designs will vary from pictures, making every piece unique.​

Karen also offers an extensive range of courses in her covid-secure workshop. Courses/ workshops include fused glass, stained glass , copper foil, glass bead making, enamelling, glass screen printing, silver jewellery making, glass jewellery making, fossil vita, eglomise on glass and more.
